About SS Consulting
Not an agency of account managers. Just me, and 35 clients.
I'm Sal, founder of SS Consulting. Here's why I built it this way, and why I'd rather keep it small than grow it the way most agencies do.
I started in this industry in 2020 and spent those years learning what actually moves the needle in an ad account, and just as much time learning what I never wanted this agency to become. The person you talk to first is the same person adjusting your bids six months later. I'd genuinely rather work with 35 people who want to build something than 100 who just want a vendor.
Outside the ad accounts
Same as anyone else, I've got people I'd do anything for.
Trying my hand at horseback riding, on a trip a few years back.
Volcano boarding, because it looked like a good idea at the time.
"I'd rather have 35 ride-or-die clients than 100 who don't want to figure this out with me."
Sal, founder of SS ConsultingWhy I built it this way
I've been in agency life since 2020. This is what I stopped doing.
Most agencies grow by hiring juniors and handing your account to whoever's free. I went the other way and kept the roster small enough that I could still run every account myself, out of my Chicago office.
The hand-off
You sign with a senior strategist, then get moved to an account exec you've never met, three months in.
The jargon report
A monthly PDF full of impressions and CTR, with no line connecting spend to actual leads and revenue.
The setup fee
A few hundred dollars just to "onboard" you, before a single ad has run. We don't charge one.
The 35 client cap
Why I capped this agency, and won't grow past it.
Every account here is run by me personally. That only works up to a point. Thirty-five is roughly the number of accounts I can give real, hands-on attention to every single week. Past that, I'd have to start hiring account managers and handing off clients, which is exactly the model I built SS Consulting to avoid.
When the roster is full, it's full. No exceptions, no "just one more client."
